Hello!
I'm a journalist, writer and travel guide from Maramures, northern Transylvania.
Adela Ulici works as guide for The Memorial of the Victims of Communism and of the Resistancefrom Sighetul Marmatiei and as volunteer (helping children in need). We speak English and French.
My hobbies are archaeology, history, anthropology, natural sciences, ethnography and photography.
My work includes about 600 articles, several scientific reports (about Germans and Jews from Maramures, archaeological sites, nature), two books, two touristic maps etc. Our database contains 30.000 pictures made in Maramures.
Our biggest project under work is called "Casuta". We are trying to save old Maramures wooden houses ("casuta"), which are demolished to make way for new modern homes. We bought already three old houses, which need restauration. If we'll find enough funds, those beautiful houses will became accomodation for tourists.
